I believe good design is the visual expression of a story, idea, or message that emerge from three fundamental values:
Clarity: The story is told is unambiguous and economical; its visual expression concise and assertive.
Emotion: The idea becomes more powerful because its visual expression is attractive and evokes feeling —Desire. Delight. Curiosity.
Inevitability: The message and its visual expression become seamless as though the union were fated.
I was born in Davao City. I am an immigrant. I am a son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew of immigrants. It is through their generosity that I understood kindness. It is in their sacrifice that I learned hard work. It is by their survival on so little that I learned creativity and collaboration. And it is through their wisdom that I learned to lead. Alumnus of UCLA Design|Media Arts. I live in Los Angeles with my spouse and two daughters.
